When you live in a house full of boys, you tend to go a little crazy, even if you’re the world’s best woman and mother. When I had my oldest child, my daughter, I made dresses that twirled and ruffle butt bloomers. I loved everything pink. Then came nothing but boys, boys, boys. I love all my boys, but ruffles aren’t really their style. So, I had to adapt and broaden my horizons in the sewing world. Over the years, sewing has become a passion. Well, not just a passion, but an extreme overboard obsession - I LOVE it! I really enjoy creating one-of-a-kind pieces for adults and children alike. I love working with wedding parties to create the perfect dress for every bride that walks in my door. Working with customers to bring a smile to their face is my favorite part of the job!

In my 25+ years of sewing experience, I have produced some interesting creations, including elegant formal wear, military and service pieces, and a few downright weird costumes. My skill was broadened further about eight years ago, when a new small business contacted me about doing some work for them. Now, I have over sixteen different local small businesses that have asked me to work with them, most of which are still in business with me to this day. Although my sewing began as small gifts for friends and some clothes for my kids, it has blossomed into a wide array of work that has covered every base imaginable. I started working with drapery and bedding about 15 years ago, effectively adding that to my list of accomplishments, and I actively work on furniture upholstering as well.
